Question for guys who know tbi and tpi
Ok, I'm just wondering what kind of power numbers I'm making with my engine in my 91 rs. It is an 89 L98 bock bored over to a 355 with the L98 heads. The cam is a gmpp roller with a 206/216 duration. I don't know the lift but it says it's the same cam that was put in 87 corvettes and irocs.(didn't know they were differen't from similar year models). Basically I think I just have an L98 except I didn't have all of the TPI so I used the TBI off the 305 that was in the car originally. I've read about switching to other fuel injection systems on the tpi cars and gaining up to 30 horses...but did I gain anything by switching to gm tbi? Also, I have an edelbrock sdt catback and no cat, a motorvation "strip" chip, bosch plugs and wires, and an edelbrock open element.
I would really like a good estimate instead of telling me what I should do instead...or that the cam is all wrong...that's all I've heard so far. Any and all replies appreciated.
