Nitrous or Turbo?
First id like to say that im not sure where this should go..So if its in the wrong section please move it.
For all of the people out there with 350 carbed motors(or 355)...what would be the best nitrous kit to go with and how much of a shot of the giggle juice should i get. Im not going to be using it on the street..basically track purposes only. Keep in mind that my 84 regal with the 355 is DD and id rather not break it.
Or would you rather do a turbo. if i custom build a kit how much could it cost? What would be an effective turbo on this motor...keep in mind im not really boost stupid i just have more experience with 4cyl and 6's and the size turbos/amount kits would cost to build.
What would you choose? Please be descriptive and back up your answer. I really would like to know the opinions of everyone out there..
Thanks in advance
Chris

carbed turbo = no fun imhho, tuning is a night mare, think of the ttypes, the pre fi ones were garabage but as soon as they went injected they were monsters, if you set on turbo look into a mfi kit

even though im not a big fan of the giggle juice on a carbed car thats what i would go with. as for how much of a shot you can run, that all depends on your pistons, heads, head gaskets, and how much you would like to keep your engine without throwing a piston out the top of the head or intake or out the bottom of the oil pan.

111 LCA? if you had a 113 or a 114 LCA your car would perform much better on spray. Your current cam has too much over overlap

also 236/230 = not gonan like spray, maybe a 230/236. im actually not worried about making every possible pony im worried about hurting the motor cylinder pressures and running lean..................
course if it blows up id mine as well replace it was something cool

you wont run it lean if you have a fuel pump to support it and a wideband 02 to monitor it

ok so im probably gonna go with the Nitrous. are there any specific kits that have been proven really well with a carbed 350? Im thinking maybe a 75-100 shot as the motor is pretty strong. Im only going to be using it at the track and the track is about 200miles away so i wont be going that often.
