bullseye.... The power band is the area in which the greatest power is made. In this case before 2000 RPM there isnt going to be much power and after 5500 the power will drop off also. It doesnt sound like a huge cam but you cant tell by the power range and lift. What is the listed duration and LCA(lobe center angle)? It may not be much worse on gas then the current cam. The gas mileage mostly depends on the LCA because the lower it is the more bleedoff you get which causes lower MPG... most stock cars are 115 LCA and up. Most streetable cams are 111-114 LCA but it depends on the application. For blower, turbo, and N2O it is usually 112-114 as you dont want the bleedoff. With a NA motor you want the bleedoff so you will go even lower.
