forge/stroke

my friend has a ls1 block and came to me and asked me should she forge it or stroke it. When she asked me i wonder"what the hell is a stroke?" I heard of it before. What should i tell her to do?

Bore it to death?

as far as I know Forging is something that occurs when the metal is being molded. OR "cast".

Someone want to elaborate on stroking? I know it involves enlarging something but I don't know what. :smt017

Sorry if that sounded dirty

Yes.. Stroking does make it larger ..... :smt023

The crankshaft that is..

Basically stroking the motor means the piston travels further up and down (i.e. has a longer stroke)

Boring a motor just means you make the piston/cylinder a larger diameter.

Boring and stroking are the only two methods of making an engine have greater displacement.

Forging is a material process which allows stronger components to be made of the same size. (i.e. people put "forged bottom ends" in the high horsepower cars)

i dont know how many times i have to say this so...AUTOBODY.AUTOBODY...as for gettin scammed..well it rides fine(beside thestick sometimes). I pretty much cant tell u what he did part by part cause i was working on his car. AND before u say "u let some one work on ur car without u being there?) Yes.. he was by bestfriend i trusted him. and sice the word on the street is so faithful to you, you find out y i call it a ''STAGE 1'' blower.
