LT4 hot cam kit
i am putting an LT4 hot cam kit in my 93 LT1 and i was wondering how much more performance i might would expect out of it and i had to purchase a custom chip from Ed Wright in Tulsa, OK. I was wondering how much more hp and tq i might could expect from the custom chip and the new cam kit.

yeah it happened on accident. lol. i've already bought the chip from Ed Wright just haven't installed either one of them yet. Since they haven't been installed i was wondering what the performance gain might be with both of those put together.

The lt4 hot cam is barely bigger then the lt1 stock cam. If you are doing any kind of head work for the cam just go ahead and spring for a comp cam. A kid out here has a 96 Camaro SS with lt4 heads, cam, intake, and headers, but it just didnt gain a whole lotta power cause the cam is so small. Comp makes a nice cam that isnt over power for a good price for the LT motor. Check www.ws6store.com. I know they have one there.

Usualy when your doing a cam its good to have head work done. But I guess with a hotcam it wouldnt need it. I dont know if I would suggest going with the comp with out head work. And for the old cam... You can try to sell it. Im going to put the comp in mine. I might do the lt4 heads or just port and polish my factory, or find some custom heads. (still undesided).

yes go with a cam, maybe even custom grind. i wouldnt go to big with stock heads though, but u can get away with a mild one.
