Lots of rpms...no go

First gear really rocks in my v6er....but ever since I got my new TPS...I will throw it in 2nd,3rd,4th,5th...and the rpms will jump and then come back down and then the car will start going...kinda acts like a automatic...yet my car is a stick. I mean first gear just is insanely nice pull to it but like I said...everyother gear kinda like hesitates on wanting to go...what could be my problem....wish I had my bird :smt045

That should be your clutch fo sho. When you give it gas in higher gears, do the rpms go up with not much change in mph? Most likely the clutch is worn out. Sorry homie. You should smell it when you get out next time. Just stick your nose in the wheel well.

clutch smells gross.

I had my buddy fry his clutch so bad there was smoke all over the place. It was hilarious.

You just reminded me of when me and Brian (spell check if he actually reads this) went down to Norwalk with his GP club in his old SS and his clutch took a shit. That was a looooong ride back to the D but we made it!

OK one more, another friend had just put another Z06 clutch into his 01 Z28 and proceeded (on camera) to try to do a brake stand, not a goo idea in a stick. Well, I am seein a brown stream of shit in the middle of his car underneath and you could hear me say "I hope that isn't his clutch" as we realized it was. Then we tried to flag him but he was havin too much fun to notice. He comes back to us and we could smell it so bad. He was like 300 yards away and we could smell it. Well, he got "lucky" and the gaze wore off and it lasted a while.
