Cam change is usually the last engine bit to consider changing if you're doing peicemeal changes (not building a whole new motor)

It's usually a lot of work for a small percentage of gain.

F'rinstance .. most cam changes will net a 5% increase in available power, and the rpm range is usually altered just to get that.

You get a lot more bang for the buck by gettin more air in or out.
(heads, exhaust, perhaps centrifugal supercharger)

If you really want to 'do a number' on your Vette, find a 454, rectangle port motor .. and go thru it .. and then bolt it in.
