This cam works amazing with PP heads which will come in the future. If you want to go naturally asperated power then your best bet is to get ahold of Loyd Elliot to make you a heads and cam package (has the best price around for the best work and power).....

I can go on forever about what you should do but first what money do you have and do you want to go Forced induction, Naturally asperated, or a nitrous motor?

The stock LT4 cam is NOT the same as the Hotcam. However, as good as the Hotcam is for versatility, driveability and emissions you'll need more to go 10s or 11s. If you go forced induction, you'll need a cam for that application. If you go with a big shot, the Hotcam could get you there but you'd better have a bottom end built to take it and w/ suitable CR for it and etc. And this also goes for the forced induction route as well, of course. As far as heads go, my LT1s (fully ported) out flow stock LT4s by nearly 40 CFM at .525" which is maximum lift with my Hotcam and 1.6 Pro Mags. RWHP is about 370 w/ stock bore and stroke, 11.3 CR, ported stock intake and long tube headers through modified aftermarket exhaust. If you need more flow than this, I'd recommend aftermarket heads because by the time you buy and port LT4 heads, you'll be money ahead most likely. If you already had the LT4 heads, it'd be a different story.

Advanced Induction has some great deals as well.

I'm looking at the step above the base port & polish LT1 heads. Gonna have to talk to them to get some specifics to match up with my cam currently.
