That looks like a cool project. How much boost are you planning on running? Whats your horsepower goal?

it's my brother-in-law's truck....i'm not sure about the boost...they are garret t60 turbos..the hp should be easily over 800...he had a 408 built for it by muscle motors, but it had various problems before the turbo setup was even done, so he tore it down and found dirty bearings and bad o-rings had messed it up.....so he sent all his internals to a guy in minnesota whose going to build it using a mopar r3 block, so it'll be able to handle quite a bit....the truck itself is a '00 r/t extended cab with dvd/gps, some crazy stereo, viper seats, ect......it sucks it's been off the road for the most part of two years(that's why he's been messing with his neon)......two summers ago he ran a low14 with the 408 running terrible(now we know why)....the guy building the motor now has somebody running low 12s with the same engine n/a.......

in response to the boost question, he's gonna run 14lbs, and said that should be good for 1000hp :smt077

and then we'll see if the rear needs tubbed :smt039

yea chucks a good guy, I have had him do engines for me and a lot of machine work. The only bad parts are hes not cheap, because hes good, and its not fast because hes good, he has quite a waiting list.
