Exhaust

hey what do u think of two pipes in one echo chamber then out in two end pipes my friend with a 90 Formula has it and its sounds aight but does it give any horsepower gain

i'm no exhaust expert, but from what I know it sounds like that would result in too much cross flow and turbulence in the gas flow. I don't think it would have a very smooth path from the cat to the exits, which is probably why there isn't much of a HP gain. If the exhaust gas can't exit the chamber smoothly then you may get backpressure or something. I am pretty much guessing, so someone tell me if I'm wrong.
