Turbo

Hey I'm thinking about putting a turbo in my '98 V6 Camaro. Do you guys know a good place to do that, or someplace where I could get the parts and do it myself? What is involved in doing that and how much would everything cost? I am guessing parts would be like $1500 but I really have no idea. I'd like to hear your thoughts on turbos and stuff too.

Well for a six it will prolly be a little cheaper than an LS1. 1500, try 4k, depends though what setup you get. STS is a good turbo system, try looking them up. As for a place to install it, try wheel to wheel

sweet, what kind of gains does one usually see with average boost levels? (7-8 psi right? unless I strengthen my engine) How much delay is there, I've heard that can be a problem

Check out HP performance at turbochargedpower.com and see what they have, a buddy of mine got a kit for his fox Mustang that took it from 179rwhp to like 433rwhp. Cost for his was about $4600 when he got it but included everything (injectors, maf, ect.). Don't know if they got a kit for you but it's worth a look.

Bummer, I'll ask a few more of my buddies running forced air around here for more ideas, should have an answer in a week or two.

ok sweet, there's no rush. This isn't a mod i'll be doing in the near future. It is pretty major.
