Keep in mind this is the 4th or so install of this system, It was sent back to kooks numerous times and each time they have said there is nothing wrong.

The very first time i sent it back, the Cyl #1 primary was pressing against my K-member.. As you will see below.. the issue was fixed.. but only gained very minor clearance.

Kooks told me that i installed them wrong. The pictures are below and i will let them do the talking.

Well there you have it.. my wonderful Kooks exhaust system that has NOTHING wrong with it...

So.. what would you do? Kooks is being nothing but a pain to deal with and keep repeating that i installed it wrong.. I dont know how thats possible!!! I've had numerous installs and had numerous people do it.. All ended up with the same result.. Installer error? Hardly..

I have been nothing but nice too kooks, i have been patient and yet they just keep blowing me off..

If i designed parts like this, i would be fired IMMEDIATELY. There is NO WAY and OEM part would pass with this horrible tolerance. Maybe im too picky and think a $1000+ exhaust system should fit properly.. Am i off my rocker??? (ok ok.. i am.. but im talking about this exhaust system)

r@#$

Lol.. what to do..

I agree with you on Kooks quality control and test-fitting process. We have installed 4 sets of their headers on C6s and in each case we have had to grind a portion of webbing in the casting of the front cradle. Kooks was unaware of the problem. Don't get me wrong I really like their product and with this exception, the quality has been top-notch. They just seem unaware of the fitment issues.

If you post on LS1tech lets just keep this between us and the local guys. We do a lot of business with Kooks and I don't want it to seem like I'm bashing them because I'm not. We are happy with their product overall and will continue to order from them.
