hard to say really. headers are hit/miss. what kind are you buying? usually you pay higher $$ for better fit, but that doesnt always happen

if your car is stock height then you dont have to worry too much but they will scrape on some entrances/exits from places...
Hell i have Sportlines and i dont mind them at all. They dont scrape bad and i have no complaints. I guess its just what kind of driver you are.
I dont know what kind of floors you drive one but it may scrap on some roads....

I will agree, if you can go for the high $$ stainless ones...
but will say, they are still not free from quality defects.. i know first hand and had to send mine back to get them fixed.
Quality control on aftermarket parts always sucks because
1. they dont usually have engineers designing them
2. there are no regulations...
3. they are low volume parts (comparatively to production car stuff)

Fitment issues are usually associated with the SLP long tubes on lowered cars.
You should not have any fitment issues with Kooks, QTP, Pacesetters, Hooker, Flowtech, Dynomax, or any other normal header system.
Kooks, QTP, and Stainless Works are all stainless and should outlast your car.
Pacesetters and Hookers are great mid level choices.
Personally, on our car we have Pacesetter coated Longtubes with Off Road Y-pipe. The wife, a friend, and I put them on in about 6 hours with the car up on jack stands and ramps. We installed the LTs from underneath the car. With our new version Pacesetters I did not have to undo the steering linkage, jack the engine for clearance, nor notch the K-member for final clearance. They went in very easy and have no clearance issues.
Heck our BMR boxed SFC's hang lower than the collectors, although if you use the c-clamps expect some scraping. We are stock ride height and get some scraping of the clamps on the y-pipe (which for us are just there for scraping since we had most of the system welded) over really steep speed bumps or if the car is loaded and bottoms out at high speed... Just really cool sparks from the clamp hangin down, nothing on the exhaust itself...

BTW make sure you match your Y pipe or X pipe with the LTs you get so you do not have any fitment issues.
TSP makes a good CYP and a good ORY for most headers.
The QTP HVMC are the way to go if you can afford them!

I am not going to argue with your opinion but it would be nice if you validate your reason to believe that... I have personally seen most of those systems on F-Body's and have only heard of a few issues with the older (3-4 year old) designs. Any new Long Tubes bought new should fit realitively well.
You are right though, every once in a while a bad one will slip through, but that is no different with any product.
Although Flowtech headers have really thin flanges and if torqued down wrong can cause exhaust leaks from a bent flange...

I will validate my reason.. i bought kooks headers, they did not fit, hit k-member and other things.. etc... I had to send them back to be re-made and then re-coated. I ordered my kooks headers oct 15 and did not get ones that fit untill early january... The ones now fit well, however the first ones were waaay offf. even George R at kooks did not understand how everything i ordered did not end up fitting... and after seeing them.. assured me that was some type of mistake or somthing..
I will say kooks has been great with customer service, just been a pain getting a good product the first time... and that even includes getting the wrong o2 extensions...
