actually if you want a nice setup for kinda low boost take a holset off of a cummings and call it a day...they are very cheap on ebay and can take a beating.

i heard holsets r good, but heavy and slow-spooling in comparison to their size. they last long, but just aren't... performance-based.

STEER CLEAR OF THE BORG TURBOS!!!

I cannot stress enough this point. I can tell your horror stories about what we did while producing the compressor housings for BW - we did almost 100% of their covers.

I no longer work for the company and I can tell you that their situation has NOT changed. They still have no form of quality standard for manufacturing. They are working on it, but it still eludes them.

Holset, Air Research or even Garrett would be a much better choice.

i can count on one hand the number of kkk/borg turbos ive seen with anyissues with 100k+ miles on them. seems every body who runs garrets and such is getting them rebuilt every 10k ot less

I'm just warning - I spent too many hours there 7 days a week - there were too many "Close Enough's" and not enough reading of the blueprints.

You don't want to mess with that internal WG if you don't have to. You can weld it shut and go with an external, but why? I run a Holset H2D with an external on my LS1.
