First off the electric supercharger is garbage. Go with the basics and work your way up. If you want forced induction the real thing is the only way to go.

i would try the headers because if you cant get the air out then whats the point of getting it in with the manifold if you cant scavange it out?

headers are ment to create vaccume... this way the exhaust is sucked out... not just pushed out...
this is why i vote headers.... then intake.,..

wait and save for a real supercharger. Those electric pieces of shit are exactly that, pieces of shit.
You can do either intake manifold or headers. personally i would buy both and then do em' in one day.

i know this i was just making a point that if the air is coming in faster then its going out then why get the intake?

Well at my work we have electric superchargers that can feed a 1.0-1.5L engine (although they are for fuel cells)
Here is the kicker... they run at 300volts at 25 Amps (7.5kW and thats only low boost)
Which means at 12 Volts you would only need... 625 Amps.. Yeah.. thats a killer Alternator you need!
That is an M24 supercharger.... for a 1.8L engine you need at least an M45 and if you want to run at 2 bar you will need 34kW (or 12V @ 2,833 Amps)
Now who wonders why they dont make more electric superchargers???

Well all you need to do is look at the SC map, find peak power, convert it to volts and amps and then you will know what it takes to spin the SC with an electric motor.
But yes, they do take quite a bit to spin, thats true of any SC even if it is 100% efficient (just basic laws of physics)
