X-Ram

Anyone have any feedback on the X-Ram for the 84 crossfire? For now I'm considering the x-ram intake and 1.6 roller rockers to liven up the Vette, I really don't wanna go to a carb set-up. $ is one of the considerations, thats why no cam/aftermarket injection/computer/headswaps etc..., as I just bought the car and road race season is on me here pretty quick .So the bike gets a fair amount of attention-tires are expensive consumables!

first off i would recommend getting that crossfire switched over to TPI intake and fuel system.. crossfire is the most god awful system ever put in a car ... let alone a vette... youre not gonna go anywhere fast with that .. not downing your car just trying to let you know...

X-ram

Check out x-ram.com see what you think. I called them, they're in Katy which is about 45 minutes from me. The owner said if I didn't like it, I could get a full refund-excepting labor. If it performs as advertised then I'll be happy and a lot of victims will be surprised!. If it doesn't work then I'll probably go to carb/intake induction instead. Check it out, I'll always listen to a second opinion-I appreciate the help.

yea i checked out the sight... and yea my vote still stands... no Crossfire injection or x ram... theres no way you can get a good enough flow through those to tiny holes to get enough air in there... id say going carbed is definitly a better idea and its also what many of the Xfire guys do. the fact that they state that it puts no less than 50 RWHP on it is a joke and they claim it can push 1400 + Cfm to a stock intake runner lol no friggen way... i doubt it gets past 750... and ill give an estimate of maybe 25 RWHP if you have a bigger TB and better exhaust.... my advice... your better off spending your money converting to TPI or Carbs... id say go Tuned Port youll get more from it... and i think that the 85 TPI fits almost perfectly onto the Crossfire engines!

cam specs

Any idea how the TBI cam compares to the TPI cam? I have no intention of going into the engine for now. Besides money being an object, the car runs great, I'm using synthetic and not using any oil, and the downtime all conspire against it. Later, when it's time for a complete overhaul I'l probably build a second engine and just swap 'em.
