you would be spending sooooo much $$ to do the conversion

Not worth it IMO... just buy an LS1 equipped vehcle pay slightly more insurance and save a ton off the conversion

check camarov6.com...my local forum has the #1 quickest/fastest power-adder v6 in the country as well as the #2 quickest/fastest n/a in the country

#1 posts as 12secondV6
#2 posts as Little g

ALSO...

even though little g is #2 in the country, hes only #2 by about a tenth or so, and has a BONE STOCK motor...runs 13.5s and is still running exhaust manifolds while the rest of the n/a list is head/cam cars

p.s. 12secondV6 went 12.1 on a 100shot, 3.42s, and a 3200 stall...he now has the 125 shot loaded, 4.10s installed, and a 41-4200 rpm stall...he just needs to make one more pass to break 11s

his best bet right off the bat is to get a 3.8 car(typically 96-up though i believe a few 95s got it)

after that what does he want to do? take turns at mach 3? make a 1/4 mile DD? if you can tell me what he wants to do i can give you an assload of ideas

For how much you can get a LS1 right now, you shouldn't have to go down the V6 Firebird route. My buddy got a 98 Z28 for $8,000 about 2 years ago with about 30,000 miles. Or is it the insurance he can't afford?
