my opinion...if people cared about saving on their vehicles' gas mileage...they would buy better fuel efficiant cars....i highly doubt vette owners are worried about conserving their gas

Well, considering they get 19 in the city and 28 on the highway, they do care a little. Even the new 500 hp Z06 get's 26 on the highway. My car get's about 17-18 in the city if I am easy on it and about 31 mpg on the highway and yes I said 31. It is important to me not to be wastin anything and especially making us less dependent on others for oil. So I like the best of both worlds but some day I will have an American gas sippin ride for daily use, it just isn't in the cards for now.

I almost managed to buy a 2000 Firebird 6Spd that had CAGS but in that case it would go from 1st to 3rd.

There is a little module that you can plug in that will eliminate this shift skip BS.

CAGS is no big deal dont waste money on getting rid of it. It only comes into play in 1st gear at 15-20 mph with less then 50% throttle. So if you drive the vette the way it is ment to be driven you will never know about it. What year Z06 are you getting?

Well after listening to what cags does for you, I'd like to get the module. Don't like the idea of a computer forcing me to do what it wants to do :}n
