well i took off the small part off the fender just to make sure there wasnt any discoloration...
well i heated it up and used fishing line... what was left i peeled off with my nail... then i used a car adhesive remover that is paint safe... we used it at my work over the summer... and used some paint cleaner, polish, and waxed the area up...
I couldnt be happier... cant wait to get them all off!!
they paint on them is full of pits and the paint turned yellow... makes my car look much cleaner and newer :smt038
i may even do a short write-up with pictures and all :smt023

then after i get it off i have a good adhesive remover...then i guess to make it look good give it a good polish and wax...
This is the part im talking about... the red piece above the TRANS AM

What i have read on common auto body restoration and several auto body forums is that you take a thin screw driver wrapped in cloth tape (hockey stick tape i guess) and try and get behind it to pop it off, personally i think you would be better off using a dull blade (butter knife), then you have to polish, wax and buff.

sports tape/medical cloth tape is good too.

Mike says use fishing line held like dental floss, drag along behind the moulding. that's what they usually do on trucks.
