Well nobody ever stripped a vehicle before?
Its ok, ill answer the question. Yes you can use dry sodium bicarbonate in a sandblaster. It has to be of the right grain though.
Sodium bicarbonate will strip the paint without damage to the structure of the surface below it, that is because Baking Soda particles fragment upon impacting the surface producing a force perpendicular to the surface, thus stripping only the surface materials such as paint and mild surface rust.
Sodium Bicarbonate also washes away, it is water soluble! Duh its baking soda!!! This makes it very safe to dispose of and not as harmful to the outdoor envrionment. You can soda blast the brick on your house too! This makes purchasing an abrasive blaster awesome provided you have the compressor for it, they are air hungry hogs indeed.
I hope this educates all on the site because no posted a response to this in several days.
Oh anybody wanna give me a free blasting cabinet? Im serious too, if someone doesnt want it anymore and is too lazy to sell it on ebay , just let me know, i could use one.
