T5 In a Vic

I'm still thinking about putting a t-5 in the vic. I could prob get a used one for 500 bux. All the custom fabrication would probably still come out cheaper or the same price as a I wide ratio AOD. I'm only planing to push out 350hp tops so it should hold up. I just miss driving stick soo much.

yeah, it shouldnt be too bad to retrofit, youll have to move the crossmember, get a different driveshaft and yokes.

The interesting part will be dealing with the shifter and the linkage.

I dont see it being overly hard. They do it to my third gens all the time. But then again its a little different.

It's been done. I don't remeber the guy saying anythign about a driveshaft. It bolts right on I Think. They don't make other driveshafts for crown vics. He said it was all easy. The only hard part that took some creativity was making the clutch pedal.

Actually mine is too long. I need to get a 90+ Drive shaft. It's perfect lenght. Need to drill some holes int he crossmember. Make the hole in the floor. Custom fab the pedal and boom you got it. Need a differnt flywheel too from a stang with the tranny.

yeah that definitely sounds easy.

Youll have some fun with that clutch pedal assembly, maybe youll be able to use parts from a mustang and simply adjust for travel lengths and position.

I need to weld something on my pedal cluster... add a pedal from a mustang.. cut my brake in half and wallah. The hard part is cutting notches to make everytng clear. That's not even that hard.

I think I may have score an entire 86 Mustang Vert. 350 bux. Says the body is apart. I want it for the motor. I HOPE ITS A 5 SPEED! I'll take it in a heart beat!

On a Mustang I guess. On the vic it's not. I'm just telling you what's been said by the people who do it.
