actuators door/hood and deck lid opening systems

I am working on a 1940 Ford panel delivery build. Anyone have any ideas or experience on automatic opening systems on a car/truck like this?

please post the details you find out... this would be some sweet info that i may use in the future... i would love to make something for a bike using actuators... you know make a bracket to flip up the plate for "shows"...

actually i guess ill ask here... where can i get a single light weight actuator. It doesnt need to move much weight..maybe 5 lbs at the very most. Probably needs to be about 8in extended but compact lenght doesnt matter as much. Were can i find one of these things? also an electric actuator would be best.

might be hard for a car as you would have to cut out an area for the license plate to fold into... with a bike there is plenty of room under that tail...

actually i was thinking just fold down, the stock license plates on all Fbodies from 1982-1992 have the same fold down plate to access the trunk hatch lock. I just need a tiny actuator that would push it out and pull it back up.
