355 in my 00 mustang

I have a 355 sbc block and I want to build it and swap it into my 2000 Mustang GT. I am having trouble deciding what to do about motor mounts. The mounts on my 4.6 are at the middle of the block, and the 355's mounts are up front... Transdapt has universal crossmembers and mounts but I'm not sure if my k-member is far up enough. Another option is to weld my 4.6 mounts to the 355 and just bolt it up, but I don't want to add the stresses on the block that welding would produce... Also Lakewood has a bellhousing for a sbc/T-5. And the power steering is going to be an issue because it uses hydroboost so I can't just delete the power steering. Has anyone done this kind of swap or know anyone that has? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check Welcome to Mustangs Plus on the Web!* Your Mustang Parts Source! or www.mustangdepot.com.

They sell adjustable mounts which should aid you in your task.

Past that, I have no advice. I'm a classic mustang guy. 1973 and older is the way to go, IMO.
