chrome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hell no, what hapens to metal when air passes through it constantly? It heats up, turning the ambient air around that metal to turn wrm-hot. And the engine bay dosent help anyways. MAC CAI for your stang will run aroun $180, a Demolet densecharger will run about 169 for a full length system from fenderwell (with filter) to throttle body, minus your stock MAS (mass air sensor). There is a write up and install on my website on the demolet if your interested.

Demolet is the way to go.....I got my hands on a MAC cheap so I went that route....but in retrospect - Demolet would be my choice

Nothing happens to metal when air runs through it constantly. Unless it's hot air, in which this is not the case. The metal heats up from the heat in the engine bay. :smt023
