cat back question

Hey guys got a question so if youve got an answer for me let me know. Ive got a hole in my exhaust and it rusted through right where cat back would bolt on, so of course thats my excuse to buy a cat back, I was lookin at the Flowmaster cat back system for my car and it has the gay turn downs coming off the muffler, do you think they would let me swap those mufflers for ones that come out straight?

BTW: I hate the turndowns because it scrapes EVERY time i pull in or back out of my driveway.

My question would be "Why Flowmaster?" From what I hear (and read) they don't really flow, more like Choke-Master. If its sound you're looking for they are some awsome cat-backs out there with great sound and flow. :smt045 jmho of course.

Wel for us LS1 guys its easy LS1Sounds.com, gives you a basic idea of sound based on set up. (manifolds, w/wo cats, Y-pipe/X-pipe, etc..) there has gotta be a site for some Ford guys. I have Magnaflow and love it! I went with it because it's A.) S/S, B.)nice n quite at part throttle but then LOOK OUT BABY at WOT! :smt038 :8 C.) I could actually talk to someone at MF b4 I purchased. (A plus for me as I believe in Customer Service) And D.) NO DRONE/RASP either. If you need an E.) Well MF used Rockwool in thier mufflers, supossedly this won't break down over time as easily as the insulation that Borla uses (MF's words not mine)

Borla makes some stuff ( a lil on the pricey side), GMMG is premium as well. Depends on what you're looking to spend. I did alotta home work b4 I bought mine. I think I pd. like $475 shipped or something like that.

better flow? louder?

for your car i really am not sure. i think u r running duals tho so i would go with flows, for sum reasons flows on fords sound right.

i dont really want loud... Ive got a system for that, lol. What im looking for is tone.... not really raspy but i dont know how to explain it, kinda hollow sounding? i dont know what kinda exhaust that is, i heard it on a mustang gt.

do you care about performance? if not get a choke-master...if you do care then i dunno what to tell ya
