73 malibu dealer installed 454

hello friends,i need a little help.my friend and i were at an estate auction yesterday and he bought a 73 malibu.a malibu with a 454 and 350 tags on the fender.original owner bought the car as a 350 and had the dealer install the ss package basically.so in essence it's like a copo car.and yes we have the reciepts and forms to prove it.i'm a blue oval guy myself so i was wondering if anyones heard of another one like it or did he find a one off?i've checked the production numbers and the 454 wasn't available in the basic malibu.any help is greatly appreciated.and as always greetings from the amish underground.
