Bought a Firehawk

Hi fellas (gals too)
I just bought a 55K mile, orig. owner, mint 2001 10th annivers. 6spd Firehawk
The owners is as anal as I am in terms of my cars, still has the key chains in plastic, extra floor mats, decals and T-tops, window sticker and business card from dealership where he bought it in NJ. No mods except the skip shift elim. but I plan on adding SLP full headers/loudmouth exhaust and a few intake goodies, ALL from SLP to keep it "company built" oriented for a rare car.
Its been a number of years since I've had an LS1 and it feels great to get my hands on another one finally. The car is in PA, and I am going to pick it up and trailer it home on Fri. (about a 6hr drive one way). I have a spot reserved in the garage already for it beside the heavily modded IROC and spring can't come fast enough.

I'm linking pics instead of posting as they are fairly huge.

I do, I'll post a few.
I only have 2 of the new paint, but its close to the old. You'll see.

Old paint scheme without hood pins(dunno if I should redo the SS stripes or not....opinions welcome)

Current paint scheme, minus the "IROC-Z" decals, as you can see, she's sitting on the used car lot at work (GM dealership)

I just spent $3100 on a fully built tranny and another thousand doing a bunch of tune up/maintenance work as its been sitting for 2yrs.

Indeed, I've been looking on and off for about 2yrs for the right price/shape of car. U can tell alot about the car/owner by inspecting the door/trunk jambs and the engine bay, in particular, the strut towers, obviously, not to mention the underneath.

The 3 things I gotta do as soon as its home/spring;
-Tint the windows 5% back 15% doors

-paint the brake cailiper black and add "Firehawk" script to the fronts
(why black? Because it hides the "look" of the caliper and will help the wheels stand out and red would look so bad or any other color for that matter on a black/gold car and also, black is not really noticeable)

-replace the 2 or 3 missing black lug nut caps

LS1 is a sweet engine and on top of it you bought an anniversary, awesome man! That car might be worth some bucks if you keep it in good condition.
