I like looking at the cars, but the prices things go for are just retarded. The bidders don't use their heads at all. Except Tony Stewart. I saw him bid on a car. You know he could afford to pay whatever it went for. He bid once, got outbid and then he was done.

5 million dollars for a 67 shelby cobra, with a twin supercharged 427.

carrol shelby got a 190mph speeding ticket in it.....how the hell did he get caught? i'd have that bad boy framed.

I know I could not belive that the cobra went for that much but if its a carrol shelby and a one of a kind why not. How about the Hummer that went for a million dollars plus $250,000 and all the money went to a good cause.

It was production number 1 and it belonged to Shelby. Also with it came the right to buy production number 2 at retail value or something like that. I was there watching it that day and wow everyone was going nuts.

As for the guys stroking their egos your right... you should see all the trophy wives they carry around with them. Why modify your car when you can modify your wife lol

Jerry, you're talking about the Mustang. They wre talking about the Supercnake that came right after it. Same guy bought both cars though. The mustang was interesting though. The bid was at 150k, he jumped it to 500k, no action, they bring out the guitar, same guy outbids himself to 600k. They add the rights to the #2 Shelby Mustang GT and no action, guy gets it for 600k. Then the Supersnake comes up and the grandpa that bought the bad ass custom 71 Cuda for over 500k and Grumpy Jenkins Vega for over 500k along witht he guy that bought the Shelby GT mustang Duke it out and get the bid up to 5 million before grandpa decided he didn't want it that bad. Grandpa ended up buying another Shelby competition coupe (although no where near as bad ass of one) for a million or so a little bit after that.
