Z/28 Return as High Performance

It's a official that the Camaro Z/28 will be the top car to have(which you all know by now). My problem with that is the SS known as Chevy top performance line up will be the middle man v8 Camaro (which does fit; it's like Chrysler taking the SRT line up and making it below the RT line up.) I think the Camaro should come up with it's own badge and leave the SS line in it's own separate division.

i think it's a little different.....the "Z28" designation is exclusive to the camaro, so i think it's not too bad of an idea to make it the top designation....the ss has become almost generic over the last few years, whereas z28 shouts out "camaro performance".....

if gm had kept the "super sport" moniker on vehicles with real muscle, like dcx does with the srt line, then it wouldn't be a big deal to give it to the top camaro, but seeing as how it's become so dilluted i definetly dig the z28 being king of the hill

The very first SS's back in the early 60's were all appearance stuff, no performance at all. It kind of became known for performance later on. The Z-28 kind of lost it's meaning when there was no longer a trans am sereies for it to race in. They should just come up with a new name that has some meaning to the current car. Or maybe make a production 5.0L LS-X that'll rev to 9000 RPM for the Z-28, that'd be cool.

GM has confirmed nothing yet :D

I will agree they should have the base Camaro, Camaro SS and Camaro Z28, but who knows what we will end up.

I'm just glad the car is coming back to a showroom near you :D

GM has a few powertrains that will be out by the time the Camaro hits showrooms, it will put the LS7 at the bottom of the list
