oy lol. Chuck, wait a little while for the new platforms, they are even better and shouldn't be much if any more expensive, better miliage, more power and so on. There may be more choice too as to who you buy one from if they get it right and don't just build the Camaro/GTO/CTS.

Is the Solstice GXP/Sky Redline too small (I'm small so I like em) cuz they are pretty quick, make great track cars and are easily modded. Yes, I know about the recall. They are of course, the best bang for the buck right now with zero to sixty times in the mid 5 second range. They are also going to do a hard top which I bet you know about.

Also, the CTSv runs 13.2's or a little better unless you count the magazine guys who think laying rubber is they way to get down the track. Just had to give that jab. I know of plenty of LS2 GTOs running in the same range. Anyway, I hope it all works out and you can keep Max too lol. Just tell her it is like when she gets her hair done etc...guys need their toys lol.

I've been in the Sky/Solstice, and they flat suck - can't see the instruments. I'm not drivin' something that I can't see speed, engine RPM, or fuel.

Turbo Solstice/Sky, do it. I'm sure if you adjust the seat and tilt the wheel into the right positions you'll be able to see the gauges. Man those cars look like fun. I really want one of the turbo ones. Just not enough to get rid of something I already have for it.

I've been in both vehicles within minutes of each other at the Wilmington facility - this was 1st qtr of this year. They had just started preproduction build on the Sky - the car I really liked - and with the wheel in the full up postion, the wheel rim wiped out speeds from 40-80, all of the gas gauge, and tach revs from 3 grand to slightly past redline.

I had a member of the quality eval team try to adjust the seat/wheel settings for me - but to no avail. The response?

'ah - it's built for women. You're too tall for the car. '

???

I've complained; hopefully it's been changed since then.

i guess if they giv eyou the business and ask why you haven't bought a GM yet you can tell them it's becasue they don't make anything that suits you. You can tell them to hurry up with the Camaro, that might be the ticket.

I saw 6 ft + guys who were amazed with it. How tall are you? You know how you like to sit in a car so I am not arguing, just really suprised. I thought it was perfect inside. From the pedal placement to the tach (only gauge you need when flat out) but I am small lol. :smt048
