got a internship!
well i got an engineering internship working in the quality control department at a french supplier called Faurecia. I will be in the interiors department working full time at $15/hr then i can probably work there next year too. Everyone i know has been having problems here with jobs so im just happy to get a internship and not a job parking cars.
If anyone is in mechanical engineering as a sophmore or higher and are looking for a internship let me know, they are launching 15 programs and need interns.

Being an engineer... And office with only designers and engineers is EXTREMELY boring. You need some sort of test facilities (dyno, lab, garage, etc.) or an HR department(eye candy) close to your office to keep it interesting sometimes.. haha

We've got some hoses that go to Faurcia for some Chrysler platforms. They are one of the integrators that assemble vehicle subsystems before they go into the vehicle assembly plants. A joint called Android does the same type of thing. I was in one of their facilities a couple months back looking at an issue they were having with some of our parts on pre-production builds. On that stuff they basically got the mostly assembled engines from Chrysler, put our hoses one, put the exhaust manifold and a heat shield and a few other miscellaneous things on and then after it was done there it went to the assembly plant. It's basically the company's way of cutting some Union labor out of the manufacturing process.

All truth. I work in an office with all Engineers and designers, it's lame. There are a couple of decently hot younger ladies on the tire side of things though. :-)
