1978, or 1972?

Would you rather have a 1978 Mustang II King Cobra with a 1993 cobra 5.0, roll bar, and a 4.10 rear end, with some engine mods, and a hurst shifter on its last legs. the car has been in MI for its whole life, so its a true rust bucket. all the wiring and stuff was done poorly. its got a roll bar. fresh paint.

or

a 1972 Mustang Mach 1 with a 351, and so far, thats all i know about it. body wise, it looks clean, been sitting for maybe a year, but having small work done to it throught that year. tuesday i will get a closer look at it.

i have the first, but i know where i can get a smoking hot deal on a 72. my plan might be to sell my kc and buy the mach, and have money left over for possible enhancements. depending on how much i can sell the king for, the mods would include wider rear tires, maybe some nitrous, exhaust system, and i want maybe some internal work done to it. all depending on how much i can get for the king. hell, i might even drop a bigger motor into it.

they both aren't the meanest looking cars, but the mach 1 is closer to a 1969(my dream car) and the mach has more engine space.

thats the colors of my mustang. my mustang has a shotty bondo job(never used this stuff before, and you can tell) and an at home garage paint job, so its not show quality. i was looknig for 20/20 in the first place(looks good from 20ft. away, or going 20mph) i people sya i got more 10/10. underneath the car, is pathetic. rust.

That 72 has a lot more potential for return on the money you put into it than any Mustang II will ever have. That's for sure. Mustang II's are, um...different, but I'd say given the choice, I personally would rather have the 72. Especially if your car is real rusty underneath.
