My baby damn near got sodomized today....

My neighbor caught him as he was looking through the windows by the back door about to go in. My neighbor say "hey" and the kid jumped and said he was looking for me... when I was at school... as he turned and walked away he had a backpack on, unzipped with a hammer sticking out of it. My neighbor called the cops and I just hada lengthy convo with the 5-oh.

I can gaurantee that he wasn't gonna go in the house looking for stuff to break. Whoever it was (they apparently know me, and I have a sneaky suspicion to who it was) was problably gonna go for my car in the garage. There were handprints all over the garage door windows, and most of my friends (or friends at some point) know where the garage door opener button is (right inside the back door, which was unlocked).

I swear to God, Allah, Buddha, Whoever.... that if I catch that son of bitch anywhere around my neighborhood, I'll break his c}} kneecaps. He's just lucky I don't have the right to shoot tresspassers.

Pretty funny how you tell us where the open button is and how you keep the door unlocked. If you have something valueable and dont want envious fucking pricks to damage your property dont tell people how to work pass your security. You got lucky you have neighbors, maybe its time to keep the door locked atleast?

I live in a town of 2000 people, IMO I don't think it's needed. Granted I lock the door 9 times out of 10. My dad never does, problably why it was unlocked today.

I've never felt the need for "security" in this town, or many others in the U.P. for that matter. I've trusted every single person that knows how to get into my house/garage, never thought it would be a "security" issue.

I've never really thought there was a need for everything to be locked down. But, I just went through, checked and made sure all the doors were locked, boarded up the side garage door some more, took the keys out of my car and locked it.

Oh, and I moved the baseball bat from the garage to my room. :)

Edit: Yeah I am pretty lucky I have neighbors. I don't understand why anybody would try shit in my neighborhood anyways. It's 3 streets and there's cops everywhere. My neighbor that caught the kid was a cop in Texas before he moved up here. I love it, I have security guards placed strategically throughout the area.

My parents live in a bigger place than that and still leave the keys laying on the floors of cars in the garage. Every place isn't as crime filled as Detroit.

Oh yeah, my dad leaves his truck running at stores during the winter, I leave my windows down, keys in ignition. That's common around here.

Anyone is capable of doing anything, envy is a powerful emotion and if you notice every serial killer who got caught. Thier neighbors would say "he was the gosh darned nicest man in the world!", nice enough for murder? I dont trust anyone with my keys, or in that case with anything. Take my advice and stop advertising your property as an easy entry for thieves.

I highly doubt whoever it was, was there to steal my car. It's too small of a town, they'd get busted, they were there to fuck shit up
