'02 z28 or trans am
I know i am probably going to recieve biased comments but im just looking for opinions. i currently own a 2002 z28 with 8000 original miles thats right only 8k. but i really love the look of the trans am's but i would have to go for one up in mileage around 20 to 30k i was wondering if you think it is worth it. are there any real differences between the two as far as build quality, suspension. the power aspect i already know of but the body and build quality is what i am curious of. is the trans am a more solid car? and better built? or should i just keep the z28 and modify it more. i have some mild mods but nothing real i have only had the car for a few months and being a student my funds were a bit strapt but now i have the money. so any advice or insight would be very helpful thank you

honestly they are about SSDD but for looks.
although in the car and driver tests the TA was just slightly faster always.

Build quality? If you had walked into the plant, yes, the plant as in one, they were both made in the same place, you would have seen a line of cars that went something like Camaro, Camaro, Camaro, Firebird, Firebird, Camaro, Firebird...
i.e. they were built in an identical manner along side each other. AS the cars roll through the plant, Firebird and Camaro are pretty much just options like V-6 and V-8.

each one is capable of looking bad ass. build quality is no different. its the same machine. gage cluster is different, seats, and thats bout it. i like a pewter z28 lowered with 18in zoh6's. but i like exactly how my car looks as a trans am.

^^ exactly!!!
Seriously, with 8k on your car, i would not get rid of it for a car that has more miles and you have no idea of the history!! Put whatever money you have that is "burning a hole in your pocket" into the camaro. That would be alot of wasted money if you got the higher mileage TA just for slightly better looks.

i think the t/a looks alot meaner then the camaro but when it comes down to it you should prolly just do like someone said above and dump your cash into the camaro, theres no point in sellin a car with less miles for pretty much the same thing that just looks a lil better with more miles. + who knows if the owner beat the hell out of it for 30k miles
