Milan Test and Tune?

Guys -

Now that Max has a fresh box, it's time to do some suspension tweakin', mount up the DR's and run this year's baseline passes. I'd like to get a T&T in at Milan one of these Wednesdays - hopefully before the 1st of June. There's a guy at whork here who has a bone-stock '04 GTO who is dyin' to see how he'd fare against Max the Mach, altho youse guys prolly already know the ending of that movie. Anyway, if you're interested, lemme know what Wednesdays work for you and I'll try to schedule around them.

PS - to keep things interesting, I plan on short-shifting the first pass. Gotta hook the guy first...

no! It's fun!

first time is always cool; you're pretty much guaranteed to get the shakes staging at the light; the light comes down WAAY faster than you expect it, and the reaction time is umm...slower than expected.

then...you pick up yer first timeslip after the ride down the return road, and discover your time is a LOT slower than the guys at the car mags say your car is capable of.

That differential is the potential you have as a driver to make up. It's what makes you go back time and time again, because you're convinced there's ALWAYS a tenth or two more to be eked out!

then ya better put plastic down on the seat girl - we don't wanna see ya wet the upholstery with new racer piddle!

Seriously - DR is a lot more complicated than it looks. It's kinda like bowling. Looks simple if yer a spectator; hellishly difficult to do well. Upside? drag racing is a LOT more fun!
