easy. i could tell you it would take 4 months to build ur camaro ground up, but until u get ur hands into it you will never know. statistics might say for this kinda application it took an average of 4 months. but you have never built a car ground up so it will take longer. plus its hard to say if the statistics are from mechanics who have the tools to get the job done and are mechanically inclined or are the statistics drawn from backyard mechanics with very little experience. so when it comes down to experience you haveta look at who the source is for the statistics???? and who is the study group??? and what level of experience is needed to build a car???

Sure that works, but that isnt even in the same category, your bringing up work efficiency in a mechanical stats vs stats. I see it as being unrelated by topic but principle is correct, of course you need to count for countless variables, etc. all those things I learned in my psyc101 classes, but thats only needed for measuring the capability of the driver to push it to the limit on the vehicle.
But where i was headed was more along the lines of vehicle statistics. Stats that are measured by formulas and test equipment. lateral g's measures handling, is it measured the same way in bikes as it is in cars? If so that is the basis of my comparison on whether a car outhandles a bike.
These measurements are a set standard for the world by the INMS (Institute for International Measurement Standards) Therefor the equipment to measure lateral g's in a car/bike are the same universally (provided you got good shit).
Therefore with measured numbers (driver negated) we are able to determine the physical limitations of bike/car or maximum performance capabilities.
Thats what i was getting at, not a simple psyc based experiment where control groups are involved. When driver is consider yes many many more factors included. But if we are to think only of the vehicles maximum performance potential it can be measured using formulas and instrumentation.
