Yes I wouldn't worry about it. Chances are your interaction with the tech inspector will be very brief. I'm guessing it will go something like this.

Tech inspector: Do you have nitrous on the car?
You: No
TI: Alright, have fun.

End scene.

lets not forget the stupid but most important things....

1. You must be wearing Pants, and close toed shoes. A jacket isnt a bad idea either.

2. Your battery must be secure with a mount. You can not use tape, leather belt, or anything else(trust me on this :smt120 ). They will try to move it and it shoudnt budge.

3. There is not a catchcan on most cars. What there is, is a overflow line coming from the top of the radiator to the collant fill bottle... so if your stock your fine.

4. You can not be leaking ANY fluids or you will not race.

5. Only you can race your car.

6. You can only have a passenger if you run a 14.00 or slower and they have signed a waver.

Now here is something for first timers to know.
1. Do not do a long burnout with street tires... do a quick spin to clear off the rocks and shit
2. With Drag Radials do not go through the water box. Drag Radials have tread and trap water in them... when you roll up to the line this water comes out and only makes the ground even slicker....
3. Only go through the water box with slicks
4. There are 2 staging lights you must pull up to. The first one means you are close to the line and the second one means you are right on it. So pull up till you see the two lights light up.
5. To get a good RT dont hit the gas when the light goes green. Hit it right before as it takes time for the power to transfer and the reaction time between your mind seeing green and hitting the gas isnt instant lol
6. TURN OFF YOUR AC... it only wastes power
7. Turn off your radio and any other accessory
8. Cant think of anymore...

I have learned most of these by messing up so... so i have learned from my mistakes... just trying to save you guys the imbarassment

Oh, as far as the AC goes, DONT USE IT, you leave puddles of water when you launch and the guys get mad at you

This means dont use it for a while before you go down the track

My first time at the track, i got "strictly informed" after i had used the AC on the way to the track...

With drag radials, I back into the water box instead of pulling through, turn 'em over in the water and pull up, then burn 'em.
Just barely trip the second stage beam so you have that tiny bit of rollout before you start the timers.
I ride the clutch (not recommended) when I'm on street tires and typically catch the friction point on the second yellow. Most cars on street tires can leave on the third one. Check your RT on the timeslip and adjust from there.
If you break, get over next to the wall even if you don't think you are dropping fluids. You never know.
Do NOT act like an idiot on the return road spinning your tires and throwing rocks on the car behind you. That goes for the pits, too.
