MP3 players in your car...

i currently use my iRiver in my truk due to the fact that i have an AUX option for it. so i can plug-n-play. anyone know of any other MP3 player that would work for sure? i have been looking ll over but the MP3 player has to have an audio line out, i guess i got lucky when i bought the one i have now.

or you can spend 85 bucks for the transmitter for the ipod's. i still have the stock head unit in my buick so i just use the tape adapter from my cd player. dunno what i'm gonna do when i upgrade the head unit and speakers. really don't wanna throw another tape deck in, unless i can find a tape/cd/radio unit that'll fit.

haha dont buy that POS FM modulator...i have a pioneer head unit so i bought a plug that goes into the multidisc changer input...it converted it to an AUX input. Then i used the headphone jack to aux input thing that comes with portable CD players...this way the Ipod plugs right into the CD player instead of a FM modulator which tends to have a lot of static in the sound which i cant stand...direct wiring is always the best

dont use them... try to get an aux input first... FM modulators do not put out nearly as clear of sound as a direct wired one. Think of it...its picking up the frequency of the FM modulator and playing it in the car. Now compare the sound of the radio to a CD in the CD player...huge difference especially when you have a decent system... that is the same difference between the FM modulator and a direct wire

most CD players have an AUX input(red and white) and if they dont you can do what i did and get a plug that goes into the multidisc changer port in the back (usually light blue) and converts it to a AUX input...

^ Fm mods for the ipod, 37.99 at Sears, Griffins Itrip.

Of course not as good as a hard line directly into the radio... but...theres a solution.

I saw at bestbuy a Bluetooth wireless transmitter for your ipod to your radio. Now thats badass.
