Does anyone here use Washington Mutual free checkig? I was wondering if there was a fee like on most debit cards on purchases. I only ask because I know it's free to use the ATM and the debit car on the ATM. The Visa Checking is free also, which I'll be using majoirty of the time anyways. The only thing I need debit for really is something that won't take visa, which is no big deal if there is a charge, but for gas. Gas stations apparntly charge an extra 10 cents a gallon for credit card. Well some of them anyways. And It's goign to be a wasite to use debit with 2 dollars charge everytime I go to the gas station. I have to find out if there is a charge at the gas station I go to for credit.

Ummm cal Visa/MC last time I checked retailers aren't supposed to Sur-Charge, or put in place minimum purchases for using your for cc's! Thats why uv'e seen em go by the wayside!! :smt023

Visa/MC used to hit em with a fine and/or pull away thier cc accepting privlages........
