I don't think there was a T/A until 69, which is why the 02 SS Anny camaros were 35ths and the 02 T/A's were just Collector's Editions. But there was still a Firebird in 67.

I never understood why the T/A name stood alone without the Firebird name even though it was a Firebird. And to top it off, it was named after a series that it didn't race in when it was named for it because Pontiac didn't want to build a 302. Yeah, Pontiac is lame. But the biggest reason it is lame isn't the reasons already listed, but mostly just because its just another Generic Made car. :p

That being said I really dont like bashing my own (GM) but I think part of certain vehicle owners need to feel like they need to in-fight is, that it has always been Chevy vs Ford, or Ford vs Dodge, or Chevy vs Dodge. They are the big three (or most notorious) of the big three. jmho
