Motor Trend - September
Anyone read the september issue, they said that the Boss will have an alloy 302 block(5.0liter), around 390 horses(naturally aspirated). Word was it suppose to have the new 5.4L iron block from the GT500, I guess that's not the case +=

I read that too. It sounds like a 4.6 stroked to 5 liters. It's all good as long as it gets around 400hp.

personally i like the idea of bringin the 5.0 back out, thats what the mustangs known for, you hear "mustang", you think 5.0 right? Agree w/ SLP the 5.4 would be a good choice too!

when i hear BOSS mustang, i dont think 5.4
i think 302, 429, or 351.
so a BOSS 302 would be fitting.

I imagine the 302 would be a better choice. The Boss is supposed to be as light as a V6, while containing the GT500's drivetrain. Aluminum anything in this car would help greatly with weight. I'd be more willing to get one of these over a GT500 if they can design it correctly. A track car that can be used on the street. I don't need sound deadening material, but a decent radio and back seat would still be good

they better make one in grabber orange, and have a front spoiler. keep the rear seats, maybe the sound deadening material, and the radio. or else its basically going to be a cobra R.
when are they gonna step up the displacement? i'd love to see a new 428 cobra jet. how awesome would that be?

I agree, Ford needs to drop all these extra cams and go for displacement!
