Get this!!! My pops found this article in the paper that said the japanese auto makers were over rating their cars in hp. What a joke, I mean come on *r I wondered how some of those cars actually produced that much horsepower... Anyone else see this article?

i dont like jap cars myself or even american rice.. but why is it you guys here hate it?? I mean i hate riced out cars.. but some supra's and alot of moded srt-4's are fuckin sweet cars but this site is agianst them?? i respect fast... if any car is runnin in the 13 or lower i have respect for it.. if its slower then that rice or muscle i laugh.. but thats just how i roll....

I just dont like most of the people that drive those cars....mainly because they do alot of stupid things....

SRT4's, Supras, STi's and the like are alright if they are done right.....as in, if they can beat me, then I can respect that. The rice I dont like are cars with stickers, park benches, or people that put a coffee can on their car and an intake and think they are god. The cliffnotes to what I just said there: If it came from the factory with some balls, it is a decent car......If it came from the factory intended to be a fuel efficient grocery getter, its a peice of shit.

Man, if one more person has to ask why we don't like Rice/ imports then I think it is time for some people to take economics and or some business classes to learn about how buying imported goods affects our economy. Did you guys pay any f-in attention at school?

I can respect any respectful car but don't ask my to like em.

And now we see they did exactly what Ford got so much bashing from the import whiners (and a few of us F-bod guys oops) with the 320 hp Cobra, at least it was only ONE MODEL and ONE company and they made good on it.

import cars dont do anything to our economy but help low income people buy decent cars... people arent going to to buy a new 06 Malibu SS @ 24Gs and its only gettin 20 MPG when they can buy an '06 Honda Accord V6 get 28 MPG and only pay 17Gs get better warranties... and cheaper parts and safer cars. who cares if they say they are 20 more HP than they actually are.... with the extra 6-7 grand you save you can add another 100+ hp

First off, you are not gonna get a Honda Accord with a V6 for $17,000.

Second, if you don't work in the auto industry you will never understand. The money I make helps to support your business. If I don't make money, you don't make money. I have gotten to the point that if I go to businesses and see a bunch of imports there owned by the workers I leave and take my business eslewhere. I feel like if they won't support my business why should I support theirs. I don't even allow Asian cars in traffic. If I see a Toyota or Honda and they want me to let them into traffic I just shake my head and keep on going.

Third, don't believe all the hipe that you read in the media about how great the Asian cars are. It seems that a lot of the truth is starting to come out about those POS rice makers. Nissan is having more quality problems with their products than any of the Big Three. Toyota had one of the worst quailty rated cars last year with the Pirius. Now the truth comes out about how they have misleading the public with their horsepower ratings. I could go on and on about the truth that lies in the Asian car makers but why waste my time. People have become ignorant about this and continue to allow them to eat away at our market.

Right now I write off a lot of what you say to being young. I have been a UAW worker for 20 years and have seen our jobs leave. If I sound bitter that's because I am. I will never like Asian cars or the manufactors that build them.
