First off, you are not gonna get a Honda Accord with a V6 for $17,000. Yea i changed that
Second, if you don't work in the auto industry you will never understand. The money I make helps to support your business. If I don't make money, you don't make money. I have gotten to the point that if I go to businesses and see a bunch of imports there owned by the workers I leave and take my business eslewhere. I feel like if they won't support my business why should I support theirs. I don't even allow Asian cars in traffic. If I see a Toyota or Honda and they want me to let them into traffic I just shake my head and keep on going. if it wasnt for some of those japanese companys top people coming over to the states and helping our american companies out.... you wouldnt have half of the technology in cars you do today...
Third, don't believe all the hipe that you read in the media about how great the Asian cars are. It seems that a lot of the truth is starting to come out about those POS rice makers. Nissan is having more quality problems with their products than any of the Big Three. Toyota had one of the worst quailty rated cars last year with the Pirius. Now the truth comes out about how they have misleading the public with their horsepower ratings. I could go on and on about the truth that lies in the Asian car makers but why waste my time. People have become ignorant about this and continue to allow them to eat away at our market. Yes but whats worse... some japanese guy lying to you about it ... or someone from your OWN country trying to gip you off... it happens on both ends... but i think its worse that AMERICANS to it to other AMERICANS
Right now I write off a lot of what you say to being young. I have been a UAW worker for 20 years and have seen our jobs leave. If I sound bitter that's because I am. I will never like Asian cars or the manufactors that build them. |
i feel ya slim .. i really do... as a young guy its hard for me to get ANY job because of the way things are right now.. but its OUR OWN american faults that we let it get this way... everyone wants to blame someone else but no one wants to find a solution to the problem |
I don't understand you. First you say that you will only buy foriegn cars and then turn around and say it is hard for you to get a job. Think about what you said. |
lol i never said i would buy ONLY foriegn.. i said why would anyone want to buy american and why woulld when we get screwed by our own American Auto companys.. mark ups and crappy warranties... im an American muscle guy... i own a vette... but that doenst mean that im gonna say go away imports when theyre not the ones that are at fault here or the reason why people are losing jobs... its the fact that the American companies dont wanna get there asses together .. Brad said it how i wanted to put it... and DanO aswell im not taking sides with any one company... im saying that you shouldnt put the blame on the imports
