Well first things first, if this is your first engine rebuild, make sure you got tools. Accurate measuring tools, inside/outside calipers for bore, etc.......
Then get a motor manual for your year 351W. This will give you all the specs for a rebuild so you can make sure you get it all right putting it back together.
From there on out you got plenty of options for performance parts, start with jegs and summit, branch out from there based of what you hear is good on forums or have read in tech articles in magazines, etc.
Motors are really really cool especially car motors. Youll have a blast but again its not something that is financially worth screwing up just to learn.
I dont know what your experience is with motors, but before you do a rebuild read a lot more until you feel confident you can take on the challenge. lotta measurements need to be done and a couple specialty tools need (ie. ever remove a cam bearing?)
