now that I got that out of my system, here's what I've found out so far:

ENGINE
--Coast High Performance 351W either standard size or stroked to 393
--89-93 stang EEC-IV MAF computer control and aftermarket wiring harness
--truck EFI lower and some sort of aftermarket upper(GT-40, holley, trick flow)
--World Castings 180cc(351)/200cc(393) Windsor Jr./Sr. Iron heads.
--roller rockers and small hydraulic roller cam

*OR*
relatively stock 460(add intake, valvetrain, carb, ignition and exhaust upgrades)

TRANSMISSION
E4OD.
I've been told by several sources that the AOD is a pretty good tranny but won't hold up under high low-rpm torque in a heavy car, maybe with a ton of building but at that point it'd be cheaper to put in a E4OD with upgraded converter and clutchpacks, which would be much stronger.

how do those engine options sound? anyone here built up a 351W? anyone have experience with doing a ford EFI upgrade/transplant? I've done several GM EFI transplants so the basic concept is not difficult or foreign to me, just the ford specific details.
I've been told to get the Ford Racing EFI swap handbook as it compares and cross-references every aspect of the different ford EFI's.
