sorry i did not check before, lol lazy . I did this to my 73 charger.


Oh 1972 was a great year to do the swap, in 1973,1974 they changed the k frame design

1) motor mount kit conversion kit. I'll get the link, either that or change the whole k frame (Its a pain even if you can find a big block k frame) I did this before they came up with the special motor mounts.
2) aye 727 big block trans.
3) rear end 8 3/4" is cool , Dana 60 if you have the money,
4) drive shaft
5) rad

oh yes almost forgot oil pan, need a rear sump type, i used one of a 1963 413 motor, depends on what year 440 you get.


headers interfer with a column shift linkage , i put a aftermarket floor shifter in, will try to see if theres a link on this.

Headers also where a pain with that big rubber knuckle on the power stearing shaft. But not a huge deal.

Oh use the chrysler mini starter, holds up well to heat and cranks well.

Kickdown linkage use the lockar set up. I put a manual shift valve body in mine.
