A couple of these cars, that cost about $30,000 to make just went across the Barrette-Jackson block for $60,000. FAR stands for "Factory Five Racing". It is about 15 years old and is owned and run by two young brothers "Smith". They have built their business and reputation into the largest of their type of company. This does not mean that they are the best 'KIT CAR" makers out there - just that they have a pretty sound following - almost cultish! Other great Kit and Turn Key Cobra manufacturers are 'Backdraft' of South Africa; Superformance of South Africa; ERA of New England; Shell Valley, Everett-Morrison - West Coast - Street Beast - Mid-States, Hurricane, Kirkham, Thunder Carriages, Whitby Motorcars, Classic II, etc.. Check this URL out to see a picture profile comparison of the various examples: http://www.erareplicas.com/427/profiles/index.htm These cars are not only nostalgic in the extreme, but when you put 600 HP in a 2,200 pound vehicle the result is "Mind Blowing, Gut Wrenching; Eyeball Sucking; Pucker Factor acceleration" [you can quote me] that is very addiction addicting. I hopes this gives you a little better understanding of what it is all about! When you are driving a Cobra down the highway, you get the feeling that the only thing that is going to match or beat you is something that costs ten times as much! Mine was well under $50,000 and I would not hesitate to take on a Viper, Lingenfelter Corvette or even a Saleen! Forget the new Bugatti Veyron... :-) tlk

great answer - thanks! that's really helpful!
