What do you recommend, with the following question:

Should I sand the entire vehicle down to sheet metal and apply the metal prep? Or should i just sand the rust spots/treat/and then spot primer it?

Whats better? Im prepared to do the amount of work required for the entire body sanding to metal.

well first thing u have to consider is that it is an 84, meaning if u try to sand down the whole car u might hit bondo(dent filler). i can promise u if u sand the whole car for just 1-3 rust spots, you'll end up finding out why u got it for a low price. Just sand down area(giving a 2 inch extra space) and treat.Dont forget to mask cause overspray kills.
