on your rear drum at the 12oclock position is you brake cylinder.

Now i cant remember exactly, but it needs to be compressed (just like the cylinders on calipers) in order to compress the shoes so that they will fit inside the drum. After the drum is on, pump your brakes and you should be in good shape!
