» Better Off Dead Camaro Found and Restored |

The late, great Lane Meyer, played by John Cusack in the 1985 flick Better Off Dead, made sweet on Monique over the engine bay of a 1967 Camaro. A fan name of Jeff was so taken with the car that he tracked it down, despite the fact that the man who owned it during the filming of the movie had sold it. It was in pretty rough shape, with a tacked-on spoiler, the beginning of rust creeping in, and lots of cracked interior vinyl, but several thousand of dollars worth of restoration finds the Camaro back in fighting form. Jeff put together a web site telling how he tracked the Camaro down, complete with unnecessary quotes from the movie playing in the background while you read it. By: Dethroner Jeff's site: link

I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate muscle cars being restored, especially ones from movies. The camaro from Better Off Dead was an all time favorite in my book, you might remember it from the scene where John Cusack races the asian dudes in their rusted out ghetto sled(Muddy Waters playing in the background.) This movie must bring back some memories for you older members, thought you'd appreciate this nice find! By: SLP LS1

» Flash Back - SVT's Cobra R |

Beginning of the 21st century this was the most powerfull mustang to date. Now since the GT500 and Terminator came out, this car got knocked down a few steps, that's ok, I still think this is one hell of a mustang. Not a lot of people like the spoiler, but I think it really flows with the car. Hood and ground effects basically look sick! I drove by one in my WS.6 this year at the Woodward Dream Cruise, definately stands out from the crowd. With 385 horsepower and 385 foot pounds of torque naturally aspirated, SVT did one hell of a job. read more in forums... By: SLP LS1

» Past SEMA Show - Dodge Challenger Super Stock |

No one seem to mention the bad ass ride Dodge Created at the SEMA show in our forums, therefore I took it upon myself to put up an article on our frontpage. This pumped up Challenger features the all new 392 Hemi crate motor with 525 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, darn close to the Viper's 600hp. This car is said to produce high 9s or low 10-second quarter-mile times. This is one hell of way to reach customers before even producing the real challenger, will it be capable of doing this suped up? read more... By: SLP LS1

» Upcoming Detroit Auto Show - 2008 Dodge Viper SRT-10 |
|

600hp out of the brand new 2008 Viper! You know what that means, GM is really gonna have to up the horsepower in the Z06. Dodge isn't fooling around, they really want to be top dog in the American muscle class. It's going to be interesting because there has been talk that GM has a Vette in the works that might be supercharged. This Viper still has a pushrod V10 in it, 8.4 liters, rated at 600 hp and 560 lb-ft of torque. The only big change on the outside is the shark gilled hood, that looks really agressive. Though Dodge does offer a new design of wheels for the consumer, they are called Razor wheels. They are shaped in a U-shape and show off the big ass calipers on the beast. Dodge has really outdone themselves this time, will GM and Ford step up for the Challenge? read more... By: SLP LS1

» 1964 Chevy Nova SS |

I came across this beast reading up on Chevy High Performance Magazine. The car is simply amazing!!! Pumping 1,000hp out of a supercharged smallblock, yes 1,000hp, crazy! I personally love how this car looks from the back end, very mean stance with some big as rubber. The car really brings back some memories for my old man, he just loves the canary yellow paint job. Randy Robinson is the current owner of the Nova, he has a well developed background in muscle cars. He's not a member of this club, but I wish he was. My hats off to you Randy, this car surely puts a new meaning to the word muscle car. read more... By: SLP LS1

» Movie of the Month - The Wraith |
|
Movie of the month is "The Wraith," this movie is one of those half-forgotten gems of the 80s. I remember stumbling across this movie about 8 years ago, I was really surprised because I haven't seen anything like it. Was really cool the first time I watched it, kind of like any movie, but this had a little sci-fi kick to it. A ghostly looking car goes around killing people, pritty sweet if you ask me. The special effects are really good for the 80s, I love the little electricity charge that goes across the car in this scene I posted, really neat. This movie actually has some prittly popular actors in it: Charlie Sheen, Randy Quad, Sherilyn Fenn, and Clint Howard(Rughead.) Movie really is a cool sci-fi flick, has some good comedy in it too, you'll like Skank and Gutterboy. Well if you haven't seen this movie yet, don't rent it, go buy it. Definately is a fav in my book! by: SLP LS1
